Trace a circle (about 4” diameter) onto cardboard, then divide into 8 sections

Poke a hole in the center. You can use an awl or small hole punch. I very carefully used scissors.

Cut 7 strands of embroidery floss a little less than one arm’s length, tie one end in a knot

Pull the knot through the circle. You can thread one strand first then pull the knot through

Put one strand in each slit, leaving one empty

With the open space facing you count 3 strands to the left. Move that 3rd strand to the open space.

Repeat that step many times, detangling as you go. You’ll start to see the cord in the back.

Keep going until the cord is as long as you need

Remove cord from the cardboard. Tie end in a knot or tie right on your wrist! Cut off extra floss.
