Before. Dark wood sewing table sanded with 120 grit and cleaned in Dixie Belle white lightning .
1
Primed in one coat of Dixie Belle BOSS (white) to avoid any bleed
2
I painted the table in one coat of Dixie Belle cotton.
3
I layered two coats of Dixie Belle Savannah mist over cotton in a crosshatch pattern.
4
Using a wet wipe and 320 grit sanding sheet, I removed the layer of Savannah mist to let cotton show
5
Then using orbital sander with 320 grit,I sanded the table for an even layered and distressed look.
6
Beautiful layer of cotton showing through Savannah mist.Edges distressed with 80 grit.
7
I sealed the table in two coats of Dixie Belle clear coat (satin) using the blue sponge.
8
And here is the transformed sewing table in a French Country look.
