Add cold chopped butter to large mixing bowl

Along with the tea, zest and salt and mix until combined but not completely smooth

It will still be chunky- then mix in flour,

oats and vanilla until incorporated

Use your hands to pull dough together

Transfer to parchment paper lined surface, place a 2nd sheet over top and roll out 1/4 thick

Cut out cookies

Option 1 - place flowers on before baking (colours will be less vibrant)

Transfer cookies to baking sheet and gather leftover dough

Press dough back together

Roll out and cut out remaining cookies and transfer to baking sheet

Chill while preheating oven and then bake until the edges are golden and they are set

This is what the flowers look like if you are placing them on before baking

Option 2 - place flowers on after they bake (hot out the oven)

The colours stay more vibrant but they don’t get baked into cookies (the heat helps them adhere)
