Lemon Poppyseed Scones

poppyseeds

all purpose flour

baking powder
1/4 tsp
salt
1/4 cup
sugar
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar

Mix in the lemon zest and poppyseeds

Add the cold cream in the middle and gently start stirring in the flour, not mixing too much

Let it sit for 5 minutes then pull apart any bigger chunks of dough

Gently form into balls and place onto a parchment lined tray. Freeze for 15 minutes

Wash with egg or cream

Sprinkle some sugar on the top of each one

Bake at 425F for about 20 minutes, or until slightly golden brown!
