Long Tail Knit Cast On
The long tail cast on is and easy and beginner friendly way to start your knitting project!
1
Grab your needles and yarn and let’s go!
2
Pull out a long tail, the more stitches you cast on, the longer your tail will need to be.
3
Put a slip stitch on one of your needles, this will count as the first stitch.
4
Make sure the yarn from your yarn ball is going away from you and the yarn tail coming toward you,
5
Holding the needle up with one hand, come in from the back with the other hand with thumb and index finger. Grab bottom with your pinky finger.
6
Next go around the thumb loop, through the index finger loop, and back through the thumb loop. Gently tighten against the needle.
7
Repeat for the number of stitches you need for your pattern,
8
Now you’re ready to start knitting! Follow Fiber Flux everywhere for more stitchy fun!
