Make A Fabric Key Fob
Materials: 12” x 3.5” cotton fabric, 12” x 2.5” fusible fleece, key fob hardware, and glass pliers.
1
Place the bumpy side of the fusible fleece on the wrong side of the cotton fabric.
2
Use and iron to press the cotton and fleece so they fuse together.
3
Fold over each long edge 1/2” toward the center & clip.
4
Fold the fabric in half, length wise with right sides out, then finger press the edge.
5
Reposition the clips so the two sides are clipped together to prepare for sewing.
6
Take the key fob hardware & do a quick check that the fabric is the right width for the hardware. Fiddle with it if necessary.
7
Top stitch each side edge using 1/8” seam allowance.
8
Here is a closer look at the finished edges.
9
Fold the fabric in half length wise & clip to hold in place.
10
Place the key fob hardware at the end of the folded fabric. Bump the edge of the fabric up against the inside of the hardware so it’s a tight fit.
11
Use the pliers to close the metal clamp & secure it to the fabric.
12
Add the key ring & it’s ready to go!
