Make a Natural Dye with Goldenrod
See more from kpwerker
Pick some goldenrod flowers. Watch out for bees and other polinators!
1
Pick off the stems and larger leaves, then rinse to liberate bugs.
2
Put flowers into a large pot and fill with water till it's all covered. Heat slowly.
3
Simmer (don't boil) for at least an hour. Then let cool in the pot.
4
Strain the dye bath into another pot (not down the drain!).
5
Freeze the dye liquor if you aren't ready to use it yet. Or return it to the pot, and get dyeing!
