Let’s begin w/ the bottom. Cut (2) 4x4’s @ 75”

Cut (2) 2x6’s @ 37 7/8” and attach to 4x4’s

Rip (2) 2x4’s to 2” wide @ 75” and attach flush w/ bottom

Cut (8) 2x4’s @ 31”

Mattress will cover this, spacing can be imprecise

Time for corner posts, cut (4) 4x4’s @ 22” and inset 3/4” holes apx. 1”

Attach using (12) 4 1/2” hex-head TimberLOK screws

For sides, cut (2) 2x4 & 37 7/8” Use Kreg bit or 3/8” to inset holes, then use 2 1/2” deck screws

For the back, cut (1) 2x4 & (1) 2x6 @ 71 1/4”

Cut (3) 2x4s @ 13” and Kreg jig holes

Center, square, & attach each piece using Kreg screws

Cut (2) 2x4’s @ 29” 63deg parallel

Cut (4) 2x4’s @ 18” & 45deg parallel, then attach

For top rail, cut (2) 2x4’s with 1 end 45deg @ 44 3/4” and attach

Cut (1) 2x4 @ 78 1/8” both ends 45deg non-parallel then attach

Cut (12) pieces of 3/4” dowel & (8) pieces of 3/8” dowel. Plug holes, saw when dry

Sand touching surfaces using 80 grit

Apply stain, Varathane Provincial shown

Sealed 3x with shellac thinned with denatured alcohol
