Neat glass
1/4 oz
Simple syrup
1/4 oz
Absinthe (atomizer or liquid)
2 oz
Rye whiskey
1 peel
Lemon (for garnish)
Add 3 dashes of Peychaud’s bitters

Add 1/4 oz simple syrup

Add 2 oz rye whiskey

Add ice

Stir well

Rinse a neat glass with absinthe and discard

Strain into absinthe rinsed glass

Peel a single lemon peel

Zest lemon oils over glass and around lip of glass

Add (or discard) lemon peel to drink
