8 Granny Smith apples
Apple slicer
Potato peeler
1 stick (8 tablespoons)
Butter

Flour
1/4 cup (or just slightly less)
Water
1/3 cup
White granulated sugar
1/2 cup
Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon
Cinnamon
.5 teaspoon
Nutmeg
Pinch
Salt
1 teaspoon
Vanilla Extract
Peel, core, and slice your apples

Add water, sugars, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla to a small bowl, mix

Add flour to melted butter, mix

Add sugar & spice mixture to the pan, stir and let simmer together for a minute

Add your apples to the pan and cover with sauce (or pour the sauce over the apples in a bowl)

Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool before filling pie crust (hot apples will melt the dough)
