Choose your paper and cut it to size (if needed)
1
Trim a piece of chipboard for the cover. Protip: leave an extra half inch of space on each side
2
Punch holes for the spiral binding using a Cinch machine or hole punch
3
Cut some decorative paper for the cover, leaving 1-2 in of extra space on each side
4
Wrap the paper around each cover like a present, making sure the creases are sharp
5
Use book glue and a bristle brush to apply the paper to the cover
6
Glue down the flaps. Pro tip: do the back cover first to hide your mistakes!
7
Decide which way you want to display the covers (and change your mind twice!). Then punch holes
8
Trim your wire and prepare to load the paper (for reference, this wire is .75, cut to 6 in wide)
9
Add your paper and covers to the wire. Protip: bind with the book open to the inside cover
10
Squeeze the wires shut (either by hand or with a Cinch machine)
11
Add endpapers in a contrasting color using book glue
12
Admire your handiwork! Well done!!!!
