Making A Flat Bag Stand Up.
I am not a fan of flat bags. Sew let’s fix this.
1
Turn the bag inside out and fold the corner like this. Flatten the side seam down to line up with the seam on the bottom of the bag.
2
Measure 1-1/2” in from the corner. Mark a straight line.
3
Another view.
5
Stitch on the marked line.
6
View from the bottom of the bag. Both corners have been stitched.
8
View inside the bag. Notice how it stands up. So much easier to find what is inside.
9
Standing up by itself.
10
I am inside the bag stitching the corners down, so things do not get lost under those flaps.
11
View from of the bottom. Corners stitched down inside the bag.
12
Standing up! You can make any flat bag stand up following these directions.
