Making American Buttercream
Beat butter until silky smooth

Add powdered sugar and slowly mix in

Add milk or cream and a little vanilla

If too sweet, add 1/2 tsp lemon juice and a pinch of salt

Beat on low for several minutes, add more milk if necessary to get desired consistency.

Voila! Buttercream!

Smooth over cake.

And use for decorations.

Serve and enjoy! (This cake took 1.5 batches of buttercream.)
