Marbled InkJoy Gel Pen Tutorial
Disassemble your pen, remove the clip and sand.
1
Place on your dowel rod and spray paint with a flat white paint. Let dry.
2
Grab a sheet of parchment paper and your inks.
3
Drop your inks on the paper then gently roll your pen through. The more you roll the darker your inks will be.
4
Using canned air blow your inks around to get the marbled lines and lighter areas. You can add alcohol to lighten any areas if wanted.
5
Before your ink is completely dry take a silicone brush and add some metal flakes throughout the marble. It will stick best in the wet areas of ink.
6
Once your ink is dry, mix equal parts resin.
7
Add a thin layer of resin to your pen using a gloved finger.
8
Add to your turner and let it spin till it’s cured. You may need to add another layer to make sure you have a smooth finish.
9
Check out this video to see how to create the turner attachment.
Once fully cured, reassemble your pen and it’s ready for use!
