After 5 minutes uncover and cook on high flame for few minutes. Add the potatoes, boiled masoor daal and half cup water for cooking.

add 2 cups water, bring it to boil, add the fresh mint and coriander and the rice.

Cook on high until all water evaporates. Finally cover it and steam for 2 minutes on high flame and 7-8 on low flame
