Roll your clay out to the thickest setting on your pasta machine.
1
Place your metal foil over the clay sheet.
2
Press the foil down onto the clay and smooth out any air bubbles. You may need to rip excess off.
3
Roll gently with an acrylic roller to be sure the foil is stuck to the clay.
4
Run the sheet through your pasta machine a few times to spread the foil and make it crackle.
5
Cut your shapes!
6
Peel away the excess clay and cut any shapes you need from the other side.
7
Bake your clay according to the manufacturer’s instructions. I baked mine for 45 minutes at 275°F.
8
When your clay has cooled, gently sand the edges.
9
Seal your clay with a coat of varnish to protect the foil from scratching off.
10
Assemble your creations! Enjoy.
