2 1/2 cups

1 teaspoon
Dried Parsley
1 1/2 cups

Cook the 8 ounces of egg noodles according to package directions in heavily salted water. Drain & transfer to baking dish. Set aside.

Melt 5 tbsps butter in heavy medium saucepan over low heat.

Add 5 tbsps flour to the butter & stir until smooth. Cook 1 min, stirring constantly until mixture bubbles and turns golden.

Slowly add 2 1/2 cups of milk, whisking constantly.

Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, unti thickened and bubbly.

Stir in 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, & 1 tsp dried parsley.

Remove from heat. Add 1 cup of shredded cheese, stirring until melted.

Pour sauce over drained noodles. Add tuna & green peas and stir to combine. Bake in oven 15 mins.

Melt 1 tsbsp butter in small bowl.

Stir in 2 tbsps breadcrumbs and 1 large pinch of salt.

After casserole bakes 15 mins, sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese on top. Sprinkle buttery breadcrumbs over cheese.

Return to oven & bake 5 minutes or until bubbly.
