Skull Rock is a short walk from the parking lot and, yep, looks like a skull!

The Hidden Valley Nature Trail is flat and easy. Go early or late to avoid the midday sun

I loved climbing all over the Jumbo Rocks in the late afternoon. They are really close to the parking lot

The Lost Palms Oasis Trail was one of my favourite hikes. It takes you down to a green oasis in the middle of the desert

Ryan’s Peak is a beautiful hike showing off the ruggedness of JTNP. It’s about 3 miles return

Visit the Cholla Cactus Garden on a board-walk trail. It’s unique to this area

You can’t go to JT and not get a photo with an actual Joshua tree!

The Lost Horse Mine Trail takes you past historic mining machinery and endless desert landscape
