Old Fashioned Apple Pie Squares
Preheat oven to 400. Let pie crust sit at room temp for 15m. Roll 1 crust into a 16X11” rectangle.
Fold crust in half then in quarters, place crust in large bar pan & fit loosely in bottom of pan.
Arranged peeled, sliced apples in an even layer in the pan. Sprinkle sugar/cinnamon/salt evenly.
Roll remaining crust into a 16 x 11-inch rectangle; fold in qtr. Gently unfold (don’t seal edges.)
Brush top with egg using silicone batting brush. Bake for 30-35m until crust is golden brown.
For glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth; drizzle over warm pastry. Cut into squares.
