Old Fashioned Doughnuts
2 tablespoon butter,1/2 cup sugar,2 egg yolks, 1/2 cup sour cream(yogurt+cream)

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg,2 cups flour,1/4 cup corn flour,1 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Beat butter and sugar really well

Add egg yolks one by one

Scrape the bowl so everything is mixed well

Whisk flour, corn flour,salt, baking powder and nutmeg

Whisk to mix everything

Add dry ingredients and sour cream alternatively starting and ending with dry ingredients

Mix on low speed, you can use hands at this stage or hand mixer

In between Dough and cake batter, place well wrapped in fridge for 1 hour

Take out the chilled dough on floured surface

Roll out 1/2 inch thickness, and cut wirt doughnut cutter

Place the cut out doughnuts on a tray and refrigerate while oil is heating

For vanilla glaze: 1/2 cup butter melted, 2 cups icing sugar, and 5 tablespoon milk and vanilla

Mix well until lumps are removed and its ncie and smooth

Heat oil almost 2 inches high in a heavy base pan, 325 f is ideal for frying

Fry doughnuts almost 2 mins each side, they come up in a few seconds, dont touch with spoon

I baked half of them and they turned out like biscuit
