Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering

Add Italian sausage and break it into pieces. Brown the meat until every piece has a nice color

Once browned, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate

In the now-empty skillet, add the onion and cook for 3-4 minutes

Add crushed garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds

Add the crushed tomatoes, Italian sausage and hot water into the pan and bring to a simmer

Once simmering, add the lasagna noodles and top with tomato sauce. Bring back to a simmer

Cover the pan and reduce heat to low, cooking for 20-25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes

Once noodles are done, add parmesan and mozzarella and recover. Remove from the heat

Once cheese is melted, garnish with chopped basil and serve!
