You’ll need cornstarch, water and food coloring.

Add about 1/4”to 1/2” of cornstarch to a bowl, bin, or baking dish.

This gets messy so you may want a bin with higher sides.

Add some food coloring to a container of warm water.

Mix until combined. You can skip this step if you want white ooblek.

Slowly add the water in small amounts. You need less water than you’d think.

Mix the water in completely before adding more.

You need less water than you think so add slowly until the consistency is like this.

Ooblek is a non-Newtonian fluid.

It doesn’t follow Newton’s law of viscosity.

But you can also squeeze it into a hard, chalky,clump.
