Origami Meets Drawing
What you'll need

White Paper
Pencil
Scissors
Put together your supplies: paper, scissors, and a pencil

Fold the corner to the opposite

Follow the edge of the fold to cut off the bottom

Open it up and fold it into a triangle the other direction

Flip it over and fold it in half to make a rectangle

Open it, Turn it and Fold it the other direction

While open turn it to be angled and pull the corners down to meet the bottom point

This is what it should look like

Fold the top flap corners into the fold and press

Flip it over and repeat on the back so it matches

Fold the top down, press, and then put it back up

Open the flaps back up

Open the top flap and fold the edges in

Flip it over and Repeat

Fold the top flaps corners into the middle

Flip it over and repeat on the back

Pinch the two flaps together on both sides

Fold the point of the bottom flap up to the top on both sides

Pinch the flaps together again on both sides

Fold the top flap down on both sides. These are the wings!

Pull the top prongs out a bit to line up with the edge and press

Fold the top down gently and press to make the head

Grab your paper and pencil

Place it where you can easily see it but have plenty of room to draw

Start by drawing the outside lines or the edges

Shading time! Draw and blend in the darks and the lights
