Overnight No Knead Dutch Oven Artisan Bread
This is a great loaf for beginners!
1
Add 1 tsp yeast to 1 1/2 cups warm water. Make sure it's lukewarm (110 to 115 degrees)
2
Stir to combine. It will look cloudy. Wait up to 10 minutes until you see foam coming to the top.
3
Like this. If you don't see it, your water wasn't the right temp. Do it again or your bread won't rise.
4
Add 3 cups all purpose flour and 3/4 tsp salt to a bowl.
5
Add yeast and water mixture.
6
Stir to combine.
7
The dough will be sticky.
8
Cover the dough with a damp towel or plastic wrap. Let rise 8 to 12 hours. If you live somewhere very warm, rise 6 hours.
9
Sprinkle a tablespoon of flour over dough. Flour hands lightly and bring the edges to the middle to form a ball
10
It's sticky! That's okay.
11
Preheat a good 4 to 5 quart dutch oven at 450 for 30 minutes. I love this Staub. Link at the end.
12
Line with parchment, add dough carefully. Cover and bake 30 minutes, then lid off bake 10 more.
