Pressure cook the chana dal for three whistles or to a soft consistency! For 1 cup chana dal use 1 cup jaggery & 4 cardamoms!

1 cup chana dal to be pressure cooked to 1/4th consistency and drain the water! Use Maida or all purpose flour, turmeric powder,oil,salt into a dough!

Salt is for taste! Sprinkle water and mix the maida or all purpose flour into a dough!

The dough is ready! Make sure you apply oil and mix! Keep aside for 30 mins! Ground jaggery, chana dal and cardamom in a mixie

Let's grind the chana dal,cardamoms and jaggery!

Close with a plate!

The ground mixture is ready!

Mix well until stuffing is dry enough!

Make small to medium balls and then spread into a flat chapatthi! Now fill the puran or the jaggery into the flattened dough!

Close it in the shape of a momo or dumpling! Now again flatten it in the shape of a chapatthi! We are using oil and also banana leaf!

You can prepare even on a normal day! This is done on Bhogi or Lohri!

Put it on the tamarind and drizzle ghee around the boli!
