Pasta with Pesto
Put water for pasta to boil, add salt

Boil 5 Italian sausages in skillet with water until browned

Slice 1 onion

Slice 1 large red or green bell pepper

When sausages are browned, remove from pan

Slice 'em up

Add 1 lb pasta to boiling water.

Saute onions and peppers in olive oil

Once a little browned, cover to sweat them a bit (5 mins)

When tender, stir and add sliced sausage.

Add 1 TBS butter and stir

Cover to cook sausages through

1/2 cup prepared pesto

Add 1/3 cup chicken stock or broth

Then add 1/2 cup half and half and s&p to taste. Cook to reduce & thicken

Reserve 1 cup of pasta water

Drain pasta

Add 1/2 to 1 cup pasta water, to desired consistency

Return pasta to stock pot with 1 TBS butter or olive oil

Add sauce from skillet to penne

Combine and serve!
