Level cakes by hand or with a cake leveller (if you can’t cut straight like me!)

Stick boards together and sandwich cakes together with buttercream.

Crumb coat. This is the first layer of buttercream to seal any crumbs in. Refrigerate for 15 mins.

Second layer of buttercream. Use the edge smoother to get sharp edges. Refrigerate for 15 mins.

Melt the chocolate and butter together to make the chocolate drip. Cool to 33 degrees.

Gently spoon the chocolate onto the cold cake and use the back of the spoon to push it off the edge.

Decorate the top! With piping, sprinkles or chocolates. Get creative!
