In a colander take 1.5 cups of Basmati Rice

Wash well under running water. Drain & set aside

In a pressure cooker, heat 2 tablespoons of Ghee

Splutter Cumin Seeds. Add Bay Leaves, cinnamon, cloves & slit green chilies

Add Ginger Garlic Paste

Add Rice & fry for a minute

Roasted rice gives a nice aroma. Don’t skip this step

Add Kasuri Methi

Close the lid & pressure cook

Meanwhile, boil 1/2 a cup of fresh or frozen peas in salted water

Boil for 3-4 minutes until the peas are cooked

Add the cooked peas into pulao

Allow it to cool down a bit & fluff gently with a fork

Serve Peas Pulao with Dal or a nice side dish
