Persian Chicken Plum Stew (Khoresht Aloo)
What you'll need
Two cups
Pitted Prunes
One cup
Almond
One
Medium Onion
Tumeric
Salt
Coconut Oil
Whole Chicken
Lemon Juice
Add 1 medium sized diced onion into a frying pan on medium-high temperature 🔥

Stir until onions are✨golden brown✨

Add 1 spoonful of coconut oil 🥥

Cover the surface with a light layer of turmeric 😋 stir right away to avoid burning the spice

Cover the surface with a light layer of turmeric and salt🧂

Flip over chicken when its color has changed after 5 mins 🐔 Add optional 2 tablespoon liquid saffron

Add 2 cups of pitted prunes 💨

Add 1 cup of almonds 👨🏽‍🌾

Add 2 cups of water to cover everything with💧

When the water begins to boil...

Bring the temperature down to low 🔥 cover with a lid and let stew simmer for 30 minutes

After a quick check, put the lid back on, and let the stew simmer for another 30 min 😛

Add 2 spoons of sugar, 4 spoons of lemon juice 🍋 before putting the lid back on to simmer for 15 min
