Holland is a quaint and adorable town less than 2 hours from Chicago where you can celebrate its Dutch heritage.
Veldheer's is a wooden shoe factory where you can have your very own pair of klompens!  The shoes are carved from a single block of wood.
For about $10, you'll see windmills, a water wheel, pretty pods, and Lots of summer flowers, trees, and plants in this 7-acre park.
Centennial Park has a fun exhibit of characters from the Wizard of Oz, beautiful landscapes, some of the brightest patches of tulips.
A  visit to the Nelis' Dutch Village is like a trip to the Netherlands.  Shops, klompen dancing, and beautifully crafted wooden shoes.
Kids will love the ferris wheel, swing ride, and petting zoo.
When exploring Holland, the Windmill Island Gardens is a "must see" thing around town.  
Holland Tulip Festival is held in early May and is a great way to kick off the start of warm weather in the midwest.  
The streets have many tulip plantings with hundreds of varieties and colors.
