White Paper Black OR Colored Paper Scissors Pencil White Paper Black OR Colored Paper Scissors Pencil Glue Color Markers

Get App Today’s collage will use a variety of ORGANIC shapes, similar to ones artist Henri Matisse used. @TeachingHeART on

Get App Start folding a small square of black/colored paper into fourths. 1 @TeachingHeART on

Get App Using a pencil or white crayon, draw four ORGANIC SHAPES along one edge of each paper section. 2 @TeachingHeART on

Get App Draw more shapes that start and stop on the same edge of the colored paper. 3 @TeachingHeART on

Get App Now, carefully cut out your shape pieces. Make sure not to lose any pieces! 4 @TeachingHeART on

Get App Set aside the little shapes & carefully glue the original color paper to the background. 5 @TeachingHeART on

Get App Without gluing anything, gently re-assemble the cut-outs before the next step. 6 @TeachingHeART on

Get App Carefully, “flip” the first shape to the outside perimeter of your center square. 7 @TeachingHeART on

Get App If you want, cut smaller organic shapes out of the bigger ones before “flipping” and gluing. 8 @TeachingHeART on

Get App Do the same “flipping” method before gluing each of your shapes to the background paper. 9 @TeachingHeART on
