Puerto Rican Tostones (Fried Plantains)

Get everything you need.

Slice plantains, peel and cut into 1" chunks

Fry in 2 cups of oil for about 3 1/2 minutes on each side

Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.

Smash cooked plantains with tostonera or use a cup and parchment paper

Take smashed plantains, dip in salt water and carefully refry for about 2 min. Use splatter screen.

Remove cooked plantains, salt lightly and enjoy!
