Quick Make - Tissue Paper Pompoms Or Flowers
Let’s make some tissue paper pompoms or flowers.
1
Fold the tissue paper until desired size then cut along folded edges to create a few single sheets.
2
Fold back & forth like you are creating a fan.
3
Cut the petal shape at each end.
4
Tie wire or string (for a hanging flower/pompom) tight around the middle.
5
Fan out each side. Carefully tease open each layer. For a pom pom open towards the front and back.
6
For a flower, open the layers in one direction only and you’re done!
7
Now try the different petal shapes which create very different looking flowers/pompoms.
8
How about now trying a simple flower/pompom with contrasting middle.
9
Fold a piece of crepe paper in half and cut along the open edge to create feathered edges.
10
Lay the strip of feathered crepe paper down the middle of the tissue paper.
11
Fan back & forward again and shape the tissue paper petal ends. Tie wire or string around the middle
