Quick Marigold Painting Fun
Bright, Beautiful Marigolds made from plaster. Stocking up my Etsy shop for Day of the Dead season!

What you’ll need- 1/4 c water, 1/2 c dry potter’s plaster, mixing bowl, spatula, mask, work mat Silicone Rubber Mold, acrylic paints and Mod Podge

Undercuts a-plenty, a little challenging to remove this cast but worth it

Pour and jiggle the air bubbles out

Whew! Let dry for about 2 hours

Remove from mold very slowly and carefully. So pretty.

We’ll make 5 flowers for this project

Colorwash, lots of water and fav base colors

Dip flowers quickly and remove. Check for bare plaster spots and dip again

Let dry, seriously dry 😆

Over all tone for petals. Random brand, I just liked the color

Dry brush. Wipe most of the paint from brush then aggressively rub on the flower petals

Hi-lite with super bright, lighter color
