Rock Crock French Onion And Mushroom Soup
Gather ingredients

Peel and slice 5 onions

Slice 8 Oz. Cremini mushrooms

Peel and crush 3 cloves of garlic

Melt butter in Rock Crock over med-hi heat

Sauté mushrooms for 8-9 minutes

Remove mushrooms and set aside

Add butter, garlic, onions, and sugar. Cook uncovered 25-30 minutes.

Cook until onions are browned

Stir in 3 tbsp. Flour - cook for one minute

Measure 6 cups of beef broth

Add to onions

Add mushrooms and herbs, salt and pepper to taste.

Cook covered 8-10 minutes until soup comes to gentle boil

Slice fresh bread into crostini’s

Add to top of soup

Shred fresh Gruyere or Swiss cheese

Add shredded cheese and herbs to top of crostini’s

Broil for 5(ish) minutes or until cheese is bubbly

Serve in mini crocks or soup bowls. CAUTION!! Will be very hot.
