Rock Fish Painting and Puzzle For Kids
Collect your beach pebbles and rocks and give them a wash and let them air dry.
1
Next position you rocks on the paper to look like fish. Use two rocks one for the body and one for the tail.
2
Next you will start by tracing around each fish in pencil.
3
Keep the rocks in place using two fingers. Once you’ve drawn round in pencil follow by tracing the shapes in waterproof, black ink.
4
We then named all our fish family and used a white Crayon to decorate each fish.
5
Then we got the paint, paintbrush and container ready. I use Windsor & Newton Watercolours
6
We mixed the paint with water to make a watercolour wash. Add more paint for a darker colour.
7
Then get painting!
8
Watch in wonder as the fish patterns appear!
9
Lay out to dry. The paint tends to dry a lighter colour. Once dry I popped heavy books on top to flatten out the paper.
10
Then have fun matching the fish bodies to their tails! One fun project and two activities!
