Salad On A Skewer With Homemade Ranch
Place bacon on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes.
1
Use the claw and saw technique to slice the cucumber in 1 inch rounds.
2
Make sure your kids tuck their fingers under to form a claw. Move the cucumber to a plate.
3
Remove the outer leaves of the iceberg lettuce.
4
Throw the leaves in the trash bowl to clear your cutting board.
5
Use the claw and saw to cut the bottom off of the iceberg. Cut into 1 inch slices.
6
Cut the cheddar cheese into 1 inch cubes.
7
If it’s hard to cut place your claw hand on top of the knife to help push it down.
8
Carefully skewer the vegetables. Be careful of the top.
9
I like to hold the skewer for my small children.
10
Try to make a fun pattern.
11
Skewer the bacon at the top.
12
To make homemade ranch dressing: Add Greek yogurt and buttermilk to a mason jar.
13
Add minced garlic. I love to use these frozen pre-minced garlic cubes for convenience.
14
Add white balsamic vinegar, dried parsley and dried dill.
15
Add salt and pepper and seal with the lid. Shake until well combined.
16
Serve the skewers with ranch dressing.
