Let’s make something fun!
1
Cereal box, crepe paper, Aleene’s tacky glue, scissors, ruler, masking tape and construction paper.
2
Cut open box. Draw a partial circle. Attach two slanted lines to it. It should look like a keyhole.
3
Cut out. Trace and cut out new piece.
4
Use cardboard as a guide for bottom of turkey body. Draw and cut body out of construction paper.
5
Cut two long one inch wide strips out of cereal box.
6
Use making tape to attach strips to perimeter of cardboard. Be sure to leave treat section open.
7
Attach second piece of cardboard to top.
8
Trace turkey body onto cardboard structure as a guide.
9
Fold long strips of crepe paper in half and fringe. I used red, orange and yellow.
10
Using turkey body as a guide, start from the bottom of circle and add strips of crepe paper around.
11
Attach crepe paper strips to sides. Cut off excess.
12
Attach turkey body with Aleene’s tacky glue.
13
Attach crepe paper lines all the way up backside of turkey. Trim excess.
14
Glue crepe paper strips to sides and bottom of turkey. Make sure to keep treat hole open.
15
Add construction paper details to turkey. Googly eyes are always fun!
16
Fill turkey with small trinkets and/or candy. Push flap in.
17
It’s turkey time!
18
Happy Fall, Y’all!
