Savannah Sights: Must Visits In Savannah, GA
River Street is a pedestrian only strip of road right on the water. There are little gift shops, boutiques, local eateries and more to shop around!
I stopped at Dockside Seafood for a Shrimp Po Boy, fries and the Blue Marlin cocktail. The vibe was very pub like and they had the UGA game on!
Historic Landmarks
A block up from River Street you can find historic landmarks like Washington’s Guns. These were brought to Savannah in 1791 by George Washington.
You’ll also find the Old Savannah Cotton Exchange building & Savannah City Hall that has been home to the municipal government since January 2, 1906.
Hang out on the river and take in musicians from near and far. You might even see some dancing! The breeze of the water and southern music is perfect.
Leopold’s Ice Cream
This famous ice cream joint has 20+ flavors that you can enjoy in a cup or a cone. Check out the extended menu w/ shakes, sundaes and specialty items!
Expect a wait of at least 30 minutes, but it will be worth it. I got a double scoop of Coffee Chocolate Chip and Savannah Socialite in a waffle cone!
Arguably the most well-known attraction in Savannah, Forsyth Park and fountain are a must-visit during the day for a stroll and photo op.
