You will need mixing bowl, sieve, jug, scales, baking tray, rolling pin, tsp, knife, brush and cutter

115g plain flour, tsp baking powder, pinch of salt, 15g butter and 70ml milk

Preheat over to 230c or 210c for fan or gas mark 8

Sieve the flour, salt and baking powder

Cut the butter into cubes and add to the flour. Then rub in.

Until it looks like breadcrumbs

Add the milk and mix with your round bladed knife

Form into a soft dough

Roll out to a 2cm thickness

Cut our your scones

Place on baking tray

Brush tops with milk, dont brush the sides!

Bake for 10 minutes

Remove from oven and allow to cool on a rack
