Seasoning A Cast Iron Skillet
Preheat the oven to 325F. Then pour vegetable oil into your pan.
With a paper up towel, rub the oil all over the pan.
Rub oil on the bottom of the pan and the handle as well.
Wipe out any excess oil.
Place upside down on a parchment paper-lined sheet tray and put in oven for an hour.
A seasoned pan will look nice and shiny! ➡️for cleaning tip
Cleaning tip: Use a hand crocheted scouring pad (not steel) or kosher salt to get rid of any food that has stuck to the skillet.
