Semiya Upma (Vermicelli Upma/Savoury)
Today we are making Semiya Upma or Vermicelli Savoury Upma!

Mustard, bengal gram dal, red chilli,orid dal, 1 cup Semolina!

1/4 cup any cooking oil!

The oil is hot! Add mustard and red chilli!

Add Bengal Gram dal & 1/4 tsp asafoetida!

We have used roasted Vermicelli here! Roast if you only have non roasted!

Saute the pulses!

Mustards have started to crackle!

Salt to taste or as required!

Add three cups of water!

Add chopped green chilli and curry leaves!

Cooking time for vermicelli is 10 minutes!

The water is boiling!

Add the vermicelli and stir well without any lumps!

The vermicelli & other ingredients are cooking nicely!

Cover it with a lid! Our delicious Semiya Upma is almost ready!

Add juice of 1/2 lemon!

Orid Dal (pulses)
1 tsp
Chana Dal

1/2 lemon
1/4 tspred
Asafoetida

1 Green Chilli & 1 Dry Red Chilli

Curry Leaves For Garnishing
3 cups
Water
