Cut materials to size. Download & prepare pattern.
1
Fold your fabric in half, right sides together. Place pattern on fabric.
2
Follow pattern directions & mark fabric using lines as a guide. This is for elastic placement.
3
Using pattern either trace & cut or just cut around pattern. You now have two pieces for mask front.
4
Repeat the same steps to cut out solid fabric.
5
Place one patterned piece of fabric right side down onto one solid piece. Sandwich elastic inside.
6
Line up each elastic edge w/a marked line. Make sure to keep the elastic from twisting.
7
Clip to secure elastic. Clip top & bottom then sew together using 1/4” seam allowance on that side.
8
Turn fabric right sides out.
9
Finger press seam flat and top stitch sewn edge using 1/8” seam allowance.
10
Repeat all of the steps to construct the other half of the mask.
11
Place pieces right sides together and clip.
12
Sew the pieces together using 1/2” seam allowance.
13
Flatten fabric of inner seam to one side & top stitch center seam w/ 1/8” seam allowance.
