Simmering Red Sauce
Sauté 1 package sliced mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter

Add 1 tablespoon minced garlic

Add 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Stir and then add 1 teaspoon Oregano

Chop 1 medium onion (roughly 1 cup) and add it to the pot

Next, add 2 pounds ground beef (or 1 lb sausage/1 lb ground beef) and brown

To the pot next add 10 turns of the pepper grinder (roughly 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper)

Stir in 1 teaspoon Kosher salt

Add 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper and let simmer until meat is cooked

Add diced tomatoes...can 1

Can 2 (these are flavored with olive oil and garlic)

That’s looking good! Bring to a boil.

Last, add Sockarooni Sauce from Newman’s Own. It’s awesome. Turn the heat down to simmer.
