Welcome to Vegetarian Kitchen! Let's go ahead and start making simple Okra/Vendakkai/Bhindi Curry!
1
Add 1 tsp gingelly(preferably) oil or your choice of oil! Add 1 tsp black mustard seeds
2
I've taken 200 gms! Add 1 tsp of salt & 1/2 of turmeric powder & 1/4 tsp of asafoetida! I've mixed all the spices with the Okra!
3
Allow the mustard seeds crackle & add red chilli!
4
Add the Okra! A very simple & healthy vegetable curry!
5
Mix the Okra well! Add salt to the minimal in any dish! It can be less so that we can compensate later!
6
I recommend maximum of 1/2 to 1tsp of salt or salt to taste!
7
To remove the stickiness you can add dry Mango powder or even marinated tamarind water!
8
Add 1 cup of water to the Okra for it cook well!
9
Sprinkle and cook!
10
My favourite Okra curry is almost ready!
11
The seeds inside the Okra have started to come out! This is the indication that the Okra is ready!
12
Look at the colour! Ready to eat! Serve it chapatthi or rice, even tacos! Thanks for watching!
