Simple Homemade Dinner Roll Knots
Add water, yeast, sugar, milk, egg, oil, and salt. Add flour a cup at a time, mixing every few cups.
1
Once all flour is in, knead until dough is soft and springy.
2
Cover with a towel and let rise 1 hour.
3
Weigh out 1/12 of the dough (or divide equally) and roll into a 10" long snake.
4
Tie the snake into a simple knot, then tuck one end over top and inside and the other underneath.
5
Repeat to make 12 knots - they don't need to be perfect! - then cover and let rise 30 minutes.
6
Preheat oven to 375. Melt butter and carefully brush the top of each knot with it.
7
Bake at 375 for 16 to 18 minutes. Serve while warm.
