Before, brown wood nightstands.
1
Clean well with White Lightning. The wood is red, and will require Boss for tannin bleed through.
2
Blocks odors, stains and works well under light colors of paint.
3
Boss is a primer that will block tannins from coming through the paint. I applied one even coat.
4
Let’s paint with Dried Sage. I use a flat medium brush and a spray misting bottle with water.
5
Dried Sage is a neutral color. Paint one even coat onto the wood surface.
6
Paint edges as well. Using a misting bottle with water helps minimize brush strokes.
7
This is one even coat. Two will be required. Amazing coverage!
8
The second coat is applied with a medium flat brush and misting bottle.
9
This is two full coats of Dried Sage. When dry apply a top coat.
10
Clear coat in Satin. I applied two even coats. I used a Blue Sponge to apply.
11
Using a blue sponge apply a even coat onto the furniture. Wipe on smoothly. This protects the paint
12
Try to not overlap the clear coat. I like to dampen my sponge with water a tiny bit.
13
I added a light coat of Black Magic Voo Doo Gel Stain to the hardware with a brush to age.
14
Simple, clean and classic. One color makeover.

Dried Sage by Dixie Belle.

Stage and photograph.
17
The Boss worked beautifully. No tannins or bleed through with the red wood at all!
