1 can of fava been into the pot on medium heat
Freshly crushed cumin seeds, 2 teaspoon
Add the cumin, 1/2 teaspoon each of sumac, chilli flakes and salt. One squeeze of lemon
Mash everything using a potato masher till thick chunky consistency is achieved. Turn off heat
Place a hot coil in a foil container in the pot, add a tablespoon of oil and cover the pot immediately. This will smoke the foul.
Finally drizzle olive oil and add chopped onions, tomatoes, cilantro and green chillies.
Enjoy with fresh bread or the traditionally served Tamees bread !
