Snowcone Sugar Cookies
Make sure you have the Royal icing prepped along with your cooled sugar cookies.
1
We will be using the teardrop cookies and white Royal icing for the snow ones. Start by piping the outline and then flood. Use your cookie scribe.
2
Now repeat with the rest of the cookies.
3
Allow to harden completely.
4
Add desired color of sprinkles in small, thin rows to a paper plate. Make sure they are thin so the whole surface area of the cookie will be covered.
5
Fill the top with white icing (we just want a thin layer). There is no need to pipe and flood. We will use the scribe to create a thin layer.
6
Using the cookie scribe move the frosting to cover the whole top of the cookie. Make sure it is a thin layer.
7
You want to work quickly so the icing does not harden. You can do this process one cookie at a time.
8
Spread the icing in a thin layer with the cookie scribe.
9
Dip the top half of the cookie into the sprinkles pressing down slightly and rotating to cover the whole surface area.
10
Refill the lines with sprinkles. Or you can form different colored patterns. Dip again. If there are little holes fill in with extra sprinkles.
11
Make a new pattern. Have fun with it!
12
Dip the rest of the cookies. Refilling the sprinkle lines after each dunk.
13
Work quickly. Let the cookies dry completely.
