Sourdough Beavertails GF Vegan
As seen in my previous video
You will need GF sourdough starter
A fed active bubbly starter
πŸ“· Ingredients or see recipe:
Mix all the ingredients in a medium bowl
Rest dough for 30 minutes
Preheat 1 inch of oil on medium heat in a 5-quart Dutch oven
Healthier baking options included
Divide you dough into 6 or 12 minis
Then gently roll/shape each portion into flat ovals
You can use a thin spatula to help you lift the dough
Smaller ones are easier to shape ;)
Carefully drop one piece of dough in the preheated oil
Use a candy thermometer to control temperature
Cook each side for a few minutes until nice and golden
Smaller ones take less time to cook and are easier to flip
Once ready use a slotted spoon to remove the beavertail donut
Place them on a wire rack to cool
Have fun decorating your Sourdough Beavertail donuts
Organic powdered sugar, jam or chocolate are great toppings
Maple syrup or organic maple sugar are yummy too!
